Warning From Samia to politicians whp oppose investment

Tarime. Vice president Ms Samia Suluhu has warned politicians not to engage politics in development projects. Speaking at a public rally at Bisarwi village in Tarime district on Monday, Ms Suluhu said it is sad to hear that some politicians use politics to delay development projects that intended to benefits wananchi.

She asked residents of Tarime to put aside their political differences and focus on development issues.
Speaking at the meeting, Managing director of a Ugandan based company Nile Agro investment, Mr Rejandra Patel said that they plan to invest more than Sh 200 million in sugar production. He said that since only four companies in Tanzania produce sugar, they thought that this would be a great investment.

Tarime district commissioner Mr Glorious Luoga said that the project will become a source of income to the government and to the people of Tarime as well.
